Flow of Employment

When hiring a foreign national for a Specified Skilled Worker visa, there are two different procedures depending on the person’s current location:

Hiring a foreign national who is already residing in Japan with another type of visa, such as a Technical Intern Training or Student visa.
Hiring a foreign national from overseas who will newly arrive in Japan to work under a Specified Skilled Worker visa.
