R5の外国人入国者数について（R6.03.22発表)

　出入国在留管理庁の発表によると、令和５年における日本への外国人入国者数は2,583万810人で、前年に比べて2,163万2,765人（515.3％）増加しました。新規入国者数は、2,375万1,693人で、前年に比べ2,032万8,162人（593.8％）増加しました。以下は、カテゴリー別の数値となります。

　According to an announcement by the Immigration Services Agency, the number of foreigners entering Japan in the fifth year of Reiwa was 25,830,810, an increase of 21,632,765 (515.3%) from the previous year. The number of new entrants was 23,751,693, an increase of 20,328,162 (593.8%) from the previous year. Below are the figures by each category.

(１位)　「短期滞在」（2,313万2,035人、対前年708.3％増）全体の97.4％を占めている

(２位)　「技能実習」（18万3,030人、同2.2％増）

(３位)　「留学」（13万9,574人、同16.5％減）

(1st)　”short-term stays” (23,132,035 people, up 708.3% from the previous year)

(2nd)　Technical intern training (183,030 employees, up 2.2% year-on-year)

(3rd)　”Study abroad” (139,574 students, down 16.5% year-on-year)

　新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大防止のため、出入国管理及び難民認定法第５条第１項第１４号の適用（入国拒否対象地域の指定）を始めとした水際対策が開始された令和２年２月１日以降、外国人新規入国者数は大幅な減少に転じました。

令和４年３月以降、外国人新規入国制限の見直しを始めとする水際対策の段階的な緩和などにより、令和５年における外国人新規入国者数は、2,375万1,693人となり、新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大前である令和元年の83.6％の水準まで回復しました。（出入国在留管理局HPより引用）

　In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the number of new foreigners entering the country has decreased significantly since February 1, 2nd year of Reiwa, when border measures such as the application of Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 14 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (designation of areas subject to refusal of entry) were initiated.

Since March 4, Reiwa 4, the number of new foreigners entering the country in Reiwa 5 has been 23,751,693, recovering to 83.6% of the level of the first year of Reiwa, before the spread of the new coronavirus infection, due to the gradual relaxation of border measures, including the review of restrictions on new entry of foreigners.
