Technical intern trainees are legally required to attend the following training courses before starting their practical training.
Training Fee | |
Post-Entry Training (Technical Intern Trainees) | 48,000 yen for 8 hours of training (including tax, separate transportation fees) |
Since instruction and communication at the technical training site are normally conducted in Japanese, the purpose of this component is to provide Japanese language education that enables trainees to perform their technical training effectively and safely. Additionally, because trainees will be living in Japan, they require a certain level of Japanese to smoothly carry out daily life, which forms the foundation of their training. Therefore, it is desirable for the post-entry training to help trainees reach a level where they will not be inconvenienced in their training or daily life.
To live in Japan for up to five years, trainees must abide by the country’s laws, regulations, social rules, and manners. These include various topics such as Japanese traffic rules (e.g., how to ride a bicycle), how to use public transportation, how to make international phone calls, how to shop, how to dispose of trash, how to use banks and post offices, how to prepare for natural disasters, and how to prevent infectious diseases. It is crucial to provide careful explanations, including local rules and how to find information, to ensure trainees are not troubled in their daily lives.
A: The lecture must include the following topics. During the lecture, make sure to use the relevant sections of the Technical Intern Trainee Handbook and public relations videos created by the Immigration Services Agency to provide easy-to-understand explanations.
* A “person with specialized knowledge” for providing information on “legal protection” is someone who is recognized as having sufficient knowledge of technical intern training laws, immigration laws, labor-related laws, and other information necessary for the legal protection of technical intern trainees.
* Unlike single-enterprise technical intern training, for organization-supervised technical intern training, it is required that an external instructor who is not an employee of the applicant (implementing organization) or the supervising organization, but has sufficient knowledge of technical intern training laws, immigration laws, labor-related laws, and other information necessary for the legal protection of technical intern trainees, provides the lecture. This is to ensure the lecture is delivered more appropriately.
