This Table Shows The Trends in The Number of Highly-Skilled Foreign Professionals Residing in Japan, Categorized by Nationality and Region

Please see the following table from the Immigration Services Agency website showing the “Trends in the number of highly-skilled foreign professionals residing in Japan, by nationality and region.” (2012-2024)

The table shows that the proportion of foreign nationals with Chinese nationality is overwhelmingly large.

Following China in first place, the proportion decreases significantly, but India, Taiwan, and South Korea follow.

Highly-Skilled Professionals also have various preferential treatments (benefits).
