Trends in The Number of Certified Highly-Skilled Professional Visas (Cumulative)

The following is a table from the Immigration Services Agency’s website showing the “Trends in the number of certified highly-skilled professional visas (cumulative)” (2012-2024).

The number has more than doubled in the last four years.

The most common category is “Highly-Skilled/Technical Activities.” This is a status of residence for activities that fall under the “Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services” visa category, specifically excluding “International Services.” Highly-Skilled Professionals also have various preferential treatments (benefits).
