Approved Case 1 (Foreign University Graduate)

(1) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in engineering. After engaging in online game development and support at a game manufacturer, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥250,000 under a contract with a Japanese group company that handles its game business division. The applicant will be involved in system design, comprehensive testing, and inspection for the company’s next online game development project.

(2) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in engineering. After working at a software company, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥350,000 under a contract with a Japanese software company, engaging in computer-related services as a software engineer.

(3) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in telecommunications engineering. After being employed by a subsidiary of a Japanese telecommunications construction company, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥240,000 under a contract with the parent company in Japan. As a computer programmer, the applicant will be engaged in tasks such as coordinating with clients on software use and creating specification documents for development.

(4) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in mechanical engineering. After engaging in product development, testing, and employee training at an automobile manufacturer, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥1,700,000 under a contract with a Japanese consulting and staffing company. The applicant will be dispatched to a foreign-affiliated automobile manufacturer in Japan to work as a project manager for technology development projects.

(5) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in engineering and information processing. After working in risk management and system development for interest rate derivatives at a securities company, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥830,000 under a contract with a foreign-affiliated securities company in Japan, engaging in tasks related to building trading reports and profit-and-loss databases.

(6) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in electrodynamics and engineering. After working at a company that manufactures transportation machinery and equipment, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥300,000 under a contract with a Japanese aircraft maintenance company, engaging in CAD and CAE system analysis, technical support, and development work.

(7) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country, and under a contract with a Japanese language school, will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥250,000 to work as a language teacher.

(8) The applicant completed a master’s degree in business administration in their home country. After engaging in the chartering and operation of ocean-going vessels for about four years at a shipping company, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥1,000,000 under a contract with a Japanese shipping company. They will be engaged in tasks such as chartering and operating foreign vessels, in addition to training and guiding employees.

(9) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in accounting. Under a contract with a Japanese computer-related and information processing company, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥250,000. The applicant will be engaged in accounting for trade with companies in their home country at the Japanese company’s overseas business headquarters.

(10) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in business administration. After working as a management consultant, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥450,000 under a contract with a Japanese IT-related company, engaging in consulting for business transactions with IT companies in their home country.

(11) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in business administration. Under a contract with a Japanese company that imports and sells food and miscellaneous goods, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥300,000, engaging in interpretation and translation for business transactions with their home country.

(12) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in economics and international relations. Under a contract with a Japanese automobile manufacturer, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥200,000. They will be engaged in marketing support between their home country and Japan, conducting surveys on markets, users, and automobile import trends, as well as managing sales and supply-and-demand and strengthening cooperation with local dealerships.

(13) The applicant graduated from a university in their home country with a major in automotive engineering. Under a contract with a Japanese automobile manufacturer, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥200,000. They will be engaged in work as a service engineer that requires judgment based on related knowledge, such as vehicle inspection and diagnosis. The career plan shows that they are to obtain a Class 2 automobile mechanic qualification within three years of employment and then work as a chief automobile mechanic within another three years.
