Approved Case 2 (International Student Graduated from a Japanese University)
(1) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Engineering, will be engaged in technology development under a contract with a company that manufactures electrical products.
(2) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Business Administration, will be engaged in translation and interpretation under a contract with a company that provides computer-related services.
(3) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Law, will be engaged in attorney’s assistant duties under a contract with a law office.
(4) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Education, will be engaged in English conversation instruction under a contract with a company that provides language instruction.
(5) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Engineering, will be engaged in consulting services under a contract with a food company.
(6) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Economics, will work as a system engineer under a contract with a software development company.
(7) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Faculty of Letters/Arts, was hired without a fixed term as a general career track employee for a general food retailer’s headquarters. For the first two years, they will undergo practical training at a supermarket, learning about product display, cashier duties, customer service, and on-site customer needs. According to the company’s career plan, after completing the two-year training, they are scheduled to work in the company’s sales or management departments, or in a group company’s trading department, as a management candidate for sales and international business.
(8) The applicant, who graduated from a Japanese university with a major in architectural engineering, will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥400,000 under a contract with a Japanese construction company. They will be engaged in duties such as basic and applied research in construction technology, as well as surveys on domestic and international construction conditions.
(9) The applicant completed a doctoral program at a Japanese university with a major in civil engineering, and after working at the university’s Institute of Industrial Science, they will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥300,000 under a contract with a Japanese civil engineering and construction consulting company. They will be engaged in duties related to research and development, analysis, and structural design in civil engineering and construction.
(10) The applicant completed a doctoral program at a Japanese university with a major in electronic informatics, and will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥250,000 under a contract with a Japanese telecommunications company. They will be engaged in duties related to an information security project at the company’s research institute.
(11) The applicant completed a graduate degree at a Japanese university with a major in international relations. They will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥200,000 under a contract with a Japanese airline company, using their language skills to engage in airport passenger services as well as negotiations and partnership duties with foreign airlines that fly into Japan.
(12) The applicant, who graduated with a degree from a Japanese university with a major in business administration, will receive a monthly salary of approximately ¥250,000 under a contract with a Japanese airline company. As an international flight cabin attendant, they will be engaged in emergency response and security duties, as well as translation and guidance for passengers using their native language, English, and Japanese. They will also provide language instruction during employee training sessions.
